Private Lesson Instruments
I offer a variety of private lessons.
I have been teaching private lessons for twelve years. I teach saxophone (and other woodwinds), beginner piano, and beginner voice. I have after school slots and daytime slots for homeschoolers and adults. Private lessons are $72 monthly for one half hour lesson per week. All students are expected to practice at least six days per week for at least ten-fifteen minutes as a beginner and more as they advance.
Saxophone
Saxophone is my primary instrument of study. I have been playing for sixteen years. I will start students on alto saxophone as young as eight years old as long as they are ready. Saxophone students will need to have a working instrument (I recommend yamaha, selmer, or cannonball), mouthpiece, reeds, and all required books, music, and materials at each lesson. At home practice is a must.
Piano
I teach beginner piano only as it is not my primary instrument. I generally accept students starting at age five, but sometimes four year olds are ready. It's also never too late to start learning piano. Piano students will need to have their piano books and music at each lesson. Practice is a must.
Voice
I teach beginner voice as well. I accept students as young as five years old. Vocal students will need their books and music at each lesson. Practice is a must.
Other Woodwinds
I also teach other woodwind instruments like flute, clarinet, and recorder. Students can begin as young as eight years old if they are ready. Students will need their instruments, books, music, and other materials at each lesson. Practice is a must.
